Does curved piecing intimidate you?
Maybe you've tried piecing curves before, but found the results discouraging.
You wish you could make a quilt with beautiful, modern curves, but you're scared you'll mess it up.
You're tired of trying to figure out why this technique doesn't work for you.
You keep buying patterns and kits with curves, but you're too nervous to try!
What if there's more than one way to piece a curve?
We all know there are many ways to make a half-square triangle block, and each quilter has their preferences for what works best for them and their sewing machine. Some folks swear by pinning, while others avoid pins whenever they can.
Piecing curves is no different. If you're like most quilters, you try one class or one technique for piecing curves, and if it doesn't work for you, you assume that you're the problem. When in reality, you just haven't found the best method for you.
That's exactly why I created Easy as Pie!
I've taught so many quilters, both in person and online, how to piece beautiful curves. I want you to move past the fear and have fun with your fabric. I want you to feel confident instead of constrained when you see a pattern with curves. I developed this mini-workshop so I can be your guide and find the techniques that work best for YOU, for cutting, basting, sewing, and pressing your curves.
Find your recipe for curved piecing success, in just a couple of hours, starting today.
You don't need to wait for a quilt show or a workshop with a local guild. You can start experimenting today and learn everything you need to know about curved piecing in just a couple of hours in Easy as Pie!

Imagine having the skills to sew curves confidently, without any special tools or gadgets.
Imagine crossing the drunkard's path, Double Wedding Ring, New York Beauty, or Orange Peel quilt off your "bucket list."
Imagine the satisfaction you'll feel when you show off your finished quilt in all its curvy glory.
You'll be able to do all of these after taking the Easy as Pie! Intro to Curved Piecing Mini-Workshop.
Who's teaching this thing?
I’m Bobbie Gentili, a quilt pattern designer and quilting educator. I’ve been published in international magazines, featured on podcasts, and taught quilters across North America.
I don’t believe that quilts have to be perfect to be beautiful. Each quilt is a story that you write, in fabric and thread. It’s a way to express what’s in your heart, and wrap it around the ones you love.
I do believe that there can be enormous satisfaction in mastering a skill, and I love teaching quilters to level up their piecing and quilting, so they can rock any quiltmaking challenge.
While nothing can replace the connection and fellowship of sewing in the same room as a group of fellow quilters, hearing the machines humming as you self-narrate under your breath, that's not the only way to learn a skill.
I created Easy as Pie! so that you can start mastering curves today, not someday, by using my guided experiments to break down every step of the process.
In Easy as Pie! you'll learn how to:
- Set up your machine for curved piecing
- Cut curves using templates or rulers
- Mark, pin and glue baste curves
- Work with small curves
- Piece half circles
- Troubleshoot the most common issues with curved piecing
